Vahid Esmaeelzadeh's art emerges from the intersection of two seemingly disparate worlds: traditional Persian calligraphy and cutting-edge software engineering. Holding a Masters in Persian Calligraphy and a PhD in Computer Science, he brings a unique analytical and creative lens to his work. His deep understanding of classical calligraphic styles, such as Nastaliq and Shekaste, combined with his experience in computer science, informs his approach to modern compositions and forms. Working primarily with acrylics and oil on wood and canvas, Esmaeelzadeh employs the Siah-mashgh technique, repeating calligraphic elements to create striking abstract compositions and sculptures. This fusion of tradition and innovation results in works that are both historically grounded and strikingly contemporary.

In 2021, he founded NeyNevis Art Gallery (Zolalart LLC) to showcase his art. He has held successful exhibitions, including in California, and continues to create new works and hold seasonal exhibitions in the Bay Area, while also working as a Senior Software Solutions Architect at Amazon (AWS).
